Meg Burgess
Prostate Cancer Nurse Specialist

Meg has worked as a Specialist Nurse at Prostate Cancer UK since 2007. Meg’s background is largely in urology. She spent 12 years working at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital where her roles included urology ward sister and urology lead nurse. Prior to working at Prostate Cancer UK Meg nursed in a hospice. Meg’s part-time role at the charity is to provide support and information to anyone concerned about, or affected by prostate cancer or prostate problems, via telephone, email and live-chat services. Meg is also trained in Motivational Interviewing techniques has a special interest in fatigue management and supporting men on hormone therapy.

Nigel Denby, Registered Dietitian and founder of Harley Street at Home, has over 25 years of experience supporting women through menopause. He has authored 10 nutrition books and collaborated with Women’s Health Concern and the British Menopause Society to create resources on menopause wellness and nutrition. Nigel’s evidence-based, practical approach has helped thousands of women achieve sustainable results. Harley Street at Home, established during the pandemic, now supports over 75,000 women worldwide, earning praise from medical professionals and the global community for its impactful approach to menopause care.

Dr Georgina Forbes
Specialist Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare
ABUHB

Dr Georgina Forbes is a Specialist Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare based in South Wales and is the Chair of the FSRH Wales Committee. She specialises in medically complex contraception, LARC provision and sexual health testing and infections. She holds the DFSRH and is a registered trainer with the FSRH. She lectures locally and nationally about contraception and sexual infections.

Linda Jenkins

Linda Jenkins MCSP BSc (Hons) NMP is a Physiotherapist who has worked across health boards in Wales since qualifying in 1994. Most recently she has worked for Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network, initially as part of the very successful “On the Ground” programme working with district nurses. In 2018 she became the Clinical lead for Aneurin Bevan Lymphoedema Service and since January 2020 she has been the Lead within the National Cellulitis Improvement Programme for Wales working as a none medical prescriber offering advice and support to patients across Wales who have been diagnosed with Cellulitis.

Esther Kuria is a Nurse Consultant in Gynaecology with 30 years’ experience in Nursing of which 20 have been in Women’s Health. Esther has strong interests in education, development & implementation of patient care pathways. She sits in the Women’s Health Forum Committee of the Royal College of Nursing and is a Member of the British Gynae oncological Cancer Society, British Menopause Society and Kenyan Nurses & Midwives Association UK.

Eileen Munson RD, RV, QN.
Menopause Specialist
ABUHB / CEO of Menopause Education

This year marks Eileen’s 45 years in nursing within the field of women health. In September 2024, after 23 years as a senior lecturer at the University of South Wales Eileen took early retirement to focus on her business Menopause Education. Then this January she also secured a part time role as Menopause Specialist CNS at ABUHB. Eileen has an extensive career being an advocate for GPN having served on RCN PNA, RCGP to name a few. In 2022 Eileen, undertook consultancy work with NMC on the new SPQ standards and the QNI with their Voluntary SPQ standards. Both Standards are now published. In Oct 2019 Eileen received her Queens Nurse title. Eileen retired from the Royal Navy Reserves in 2019 after 36 years having served in Gibraltar, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Jackie Wright
Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist
Future Dreams Breast Cancer Charity

Jackie has worked with those affected by breast cancer for over 25 years. She trained in Australia before moving to the UK in 2004 where she has worked in both the private sector and NHS before moving to Future Dreams in 2023. At Future Dreams House, the only dedicated breast cancer support centre in the UK offering in person and online support, Jackie facilitates six different support groups, three workshops and offers 1:1 appointments where individuals can discuss key issues or pain points experienced as a result of their breast cancer treatment.
