Effects of breast cancer on Mental Health
Presentation

The impact on a person’s mental health during, and after, treatment for breast cancer is often under reported and therefore individuals fail to get the adequate support they need. Support will mean different things to different individuals. For some, simply helping to take away the feelings of loneliness and isolation they experience can make a powerful impact on a person’s ability to cope. Jackie has helped create a programme of peer-to-peer community support alongside expert care at Future Dreams House, a dedicated breast cancer centre, with the goal of preventing patients facing breast cancer alone or without hope.

Menopause: Supporting women to build a lifelong self-care plan
Presentation

Menopause is a pivotal time for women to reflect on their future health and well-being. This presentation explores how HCPs can inspire and support women to embrace lifestyle changes as part of their menopause self-care toolkit. Drawing on insights from working 1-1 and supporting an online community of over 75,000 women, it highlights practical strategies to encourage sustainable habits in diet, exercise, emotional wellness, and self-worth. For many women, menopause is an opportunity to prioritise their own needs for the first time—this session will focus on delivering the guidance they need to make lasting, positive changes.
